The Scoop

• Now open for more than a decade, Pegu Club is named after the 19th century clubhouse for British colonial officers stationed in Burma (now Myanmar). The bar shares the same signature drink as the original, a gin-based cocktail also called the Pegu Club
• Legendary New York mixologist Audrey Saunders is behind Pegu Club’s outstanding cocktail menu, favorites of which include the Pisco Punch, the Gin-Gin Mule, and the Earl Grey MarTEAni. For groups larger than eight, call the bar to make a reservation
• Fortify yourself for the powerful cocktails with some snacks from the Asian-influenced food menu: jungle-style summer rolls, chicken lollipops, Mandalay coconut shrimp, and crispy squid

The Team

Since opening in 2005, Pegu Club has employed some of the best cocktail masters in the industry, including Toby Maloney of Milk & Honey, Jim Meehan of PDT, Phil Ward and Brian Miller of Death & Company, and Kenta Goto of Bar Goto
